: A young African American couple Arteisha Betts and Travis Ammonettesuffered the most DISTRURBING form of medical malpractice that you can imagine - the doctor RIPPED THEIR BABYS HEAD OFF during child birth!!! But what happened next - was even MORE DESPICABLE!!!
The story is truly horrifying. It all started out when the couple visited their obstetrician, Dr. Susan Moore, who advised Arteisha that she would need a cesarean section because her baby had an unusually large abdomen. A few weeks later, Arteisha went into pre-term labor (at 28 weeks) and was rushed to the hospital, where the doctor there, a Dr. Gilbert Webb, refused to deliver the baby by cesarean section. Arteisha said that Dr. Webb also refused to allow them to go to another hospital.
Here's what happened next, according to the complaint:
Defendant Webb applied sufficient traction to the axilla and head of decedent Kaden Travis Ammonette during Webb's attempt to deliver decedent vaginally that defendant Webb separated decedent Kaden Travis Ammonette's head from his cervical spine.And to try and cover up his tracks, Dr. Webb then "pushed" the baby's "head and body back into plaintiff Arteisha Betts' birth canal" and called for an emergency cesarean section.
When defendant Webb separated decedent Kaden Travis Ammonette's head from his cervical spine, decedent's body was still inside Arteisha Betts' birth canal.
When defendant Webb separated decedent Kaden Travis Ammonette's head from his cervical spine, blood from the arteries and veins in decedent's neck shot out, splattered and/or spilled out into the labor and delivery room in plain view of and in close proximity to plaintiffs Arteisha Betts and Travis Ammonette.
At the time that defendant Webb separated decedent Kaden Travis Ammonette's head from his cervical spine, plaintiff Travis Ammonette was approximately 2 to 4 feet from his son's head.
DISGRACE!!
This doctor definitely needs to be charged with murder and have their medical license burned. What is wrong with these pathetic morons they are turning out of medical school these days? They have a multi-million dollar law suit on their hands and these corrupt courts should award this couple every bit of that and some!
In the beginning of the story; it's a baby girl and by the end it's a boy? Another one of MTO's world class shoddy reporting to an otherwise heart wrenching story. I smell many lawsuits.

Man, my prayers are with them and MTO, though you exaggerated your headline for attention, due to your OWN thirst, the baby had a technical beheading and it's not like his head was actually separated from his body by skin. Regardless, this is heinous. A thorough investigation should be rendered and if the doctor has been found to have done something he should not have, throw the book at him! Since MTO does such poor reporting, I am going elsewhere to find this article, reputable source, which will give the full story. The mother was advised that both procedures could be risky from what I read, vaginal birth and C-section. Also, that's a terrible death for the baby. I am praying for this couple. If this IS malpractice, no one should have to endure this!

This happened since may and it happened in Brazil. The mother was 22 and had 3 kids the baby boy was her fourth. That is NOT the mothers name it's Maria and the baby boy's name was NOT Kayden it was Neyman after a famous soccer player. I need to come work for Mto's dumb *** y'all really can't get anything right smh... very sad story though no parent should have to go through that.
little late this story happened in March and it was because the babies chest got stuck in the birth canal and his mother had gone into labor 11 weeks and 2 days early @ 28 weeks and 5 days and it wasn't her regular doctor. this monster refused to do a neccessary c-section which caused the *** to detatch the head while he was using traction to get the chest out. hospitals get sued for this kind of thing often Brigham & Womens did the week before I was born in 1985
