Actually, the statistics are 1 in 4 Americans are infected with Herpes, but the numbers inflate to 1 in 3 in the African American community, so the probability of you getting infected is higher. Too many people in our community are ignorant and uninformed which is why it passes on at a much higher rate amongst us....SMH.

Please re-read. one OUT of three, meaning hypothetically that out of you and two of your friends, only ONE of your friends has the HSV virus. Could be either HSV1 or HSV 2. And you don't just get it by having ***, and guess what, even condoms can't help you since it is from skin to skin contact, like the pubic hair area that is NOT protected by a condom.
Children carry it too, not necessarily from ***. If you have ever shared a straw, chap-stick, lip-stick, same napkin, utensils, etc, you can easily contract it.

Please re-read. It says one IN 3 meaning one person out of every three people, And it's not necessarily always HS2 it can easily be HS1 (the cold sore virus)
Secondly, wearing a condom doesn't protect against an an active herpes outbreak in the pubic hair area or any other part of the skin not covered by the condom.

What do you mean when black people get on board? The numbers are taken from medical studies put together by the CDC!! Get educated, some people are just ignorant. It's herpes simplex "1". Commonly known as a cold sore or fever blister which can catch if you run a high fever or have a cold "which is also a virus". It is in fact very common, now if you all can get a picture of her cooch and if there is a sore there then my uneducated people she would be infected with herpes simplex "2" which is a sexually transmitted disease. I have a honest question for you: If a person has oral *** with someone who has herpes simplex 2, is it possible for that person to catch a virus from the herpes simplex 2 person, which may show up around their mouth as a bump. blister, or sore? If you say yes to my question, then why argue with the fact that herpes simplex 1 can also come from having *** with someone who has simplex 2?
