As we explained then, sources at Rihanna's management company were FURIOUS that he was using Rhanna's image on a t-shirt, without paying her . . . and WITHOUT her managers approval. And that they are generally UPSET with Rihanna's relationship with Chris Brown. They feel she is TARNISHING HER BRAND by associating with him.
A Roc Nation source tells MediaTakeOut.com, "[Jay Z] personally called up Chris Brown and told him to take down the t-shirt or there would be consequences. I believe that was th first time that Jay spoke [with Chris] since the [assault]."
When we asked "what" the consequences would be? The snitch said, "I don't know about any street stuff, but there are legal consequences to selling [Rihanna's] image."
Chris' site now says the t-shirt is "sold out"
