: We really hope that this is some sort of attention grabbing hoax- because otherwise it would be truly TRAGIC. A popular young rapper named Freddy E, who is signed to Tyga's label appeared to commit SUICIDE last night.
And he did it on TWITTER. Peep the below tweets he sent out.

Killing yourself is the weakest way out...everyone goes through their trials & tribulations, but to choose suicide is the bit*hy way out. If you call yourself a man, then face that sh*t head on & defeat it. I know people will have a person that commits suicide back, by saying: "Well you don't know what he might have been going through, or he might have a chemical imbalance"...whatever man...Get yourself the proper help, or talk to someone that can help you. I can't have pity on someone that choose this route...If this is true, then it really hate it for this cat.

And y do u call a young lady whom u don't know a bish? @taih, ppl commit suicide because they're selfish, often very narcissistic. It's never over a mate. They are self-absorbed, always pitying themselves & never taking responsibility for their behavior, poor decision-making, or unwillingness to make sacrifices (deny themselves certain luxuries). For ex, my friend killed herself in part bcuz she struggled to raise her children as a single mom. She could have placed the children in temporary foster care while she worked to attain a degree or trade. She could've decided not to date anyone seriously until she made a stable life for herself (a sacrifice that would've lightened her burdens). But instead she gave up altogether cuz she didn't want to do the work. Further, my ex hubby was suicidal & blamed all of his issues on me when I am as close to PERFECT as he will ever get. The man is a lazy, abusive, self-absorbed *** whose misery will follow him all of his days cuz HE'S the prob. #dotcom&period

I'm often amazed at how ignorant some Black people are because I saw where one poster stated that "you don't hear about suicide in the Black community everyday".Fact is,many Blacks don't talk about anything that's important and you will rag on a person that comes to you with any kind of issue of depression that can lead to suicide by shrugging it off. Black men in Freddy's age group (15-24)have the highest suicide rate ,I'm not talking whole number,I'm talking rate per population.It must also be noted that Black men are 30 times more at risk than Black to kill themselves so this is a serious issue that many Blacks love to sweep under the rug as many do with anything else...
Stop judging people and speaking on "it can't be that bad based on your life ***". Some people can deal with a lot of adversity and some people can't so stop dismissing them....

You're just another person on the outside looking in,and giving your two cents about something that you likely know nothing about. Do you even know exactly how having a mental illness can affect every possible detail of someone's life? Depression can make you feel like death is the only way out of what you perceive to be a bad situation. Your friend obviously had depression,and even though you had the answer to her problems,she obviously didn't see it the way that you did. People have to understand just how deeply everyday life situations can affect someone with an mental illness. Especially people that are diagnosed with a mood disorder. I have major depressive disorder,and I know exactly how having a mental illness can affect someone's life. I also study clinical psychology.

I once got wrapped into someone who suffered from mental illness & had abandonment issues had been molested & saw his dad kill someone. I found this out a few weeks into our friendship. It was too much for me to handle. His constant negativity & being depressed....This person hated his mother & women in general. It was too late for me because he thought I was God sent @ never revealed these things to any female but me. He ended up being deranged possessive & down right scary. I had to move to get away from this person. & he always said he should just kill himself. You can't blame her.

I was tuned in to his ustream one *** when he broke down telling all of his fans he's been depressed for awhile and has attempted suicide twice. His best friend was murdered a year ago and he's been having problems with family. This man was going through a lot and he just had enough and felt like it was his time to go. No one truly knows what he was going through or what caused him to kill himself. So for now just show some respect

We don't know what's going on behind closed doors all we know as "readers" is that he killed himself and honey cocaines name is it. But in reality it probably has NOTHING to do with her. When he was on ustream that things that came out of his mouth brought tears to everyone's eyes that was watching. The tears that came down his eyes was unbearable. He had deeper issues that no one will understand or even know.

Real talk....my niece, VERY young, has been diagnosed with schizophrenia.....I've always known something was different with her and her being my only niece, I keep her very close to me. She is now on meds. Honestly, she can be a handful at times and we all now feel like we have to walk on eggshells for fear of saying something that may send her over the deep end. Her suicide attempt is what confirmed her mental issue.

And coming from a professional......I just want some of you people who can't afford a doctor to know that you can buy "lithium orotate" over the counter. It is used to treat different sorts of mental illnesses, much like the prescriptions that you get from the doctor. You just have to be careful with the dosage, but any possible side effects are not as bad with the otc kind and the body absorbs it better anyway. Please learn how to take care of your own healthcare needs for the most part, because Obamacare is coming!
this is indeed a sad state of affairs. I've been kinda just reading the comments and understanding where/what went wrong. I'm puzzled that a "youtube sensation" can express his emotions and break down and share of his depression, even more puzzling is what, if anything, was done to help him before it came to this. I'm not trying to point a finger or anything, but oftentimes we see/hear signs but they aren't entertained seriously until it's gone too far.
@DrKG I can respect your position as a professional and the enlightenment of buying "lithium orotate" as an proposed anti-depressant. Yet, (nothing against you) I'm baffled at a society who follows the lead of pharmaceutical distributors who distribute "FDA approved" drugs for symptoms that can be helped with a hug, kind words, constant communication and a long-term commitment to being a help in someone else time of trouble. In researching this drug it says that the side effects may include, but are not limited to: hand tremors, nervous tics, frequent urination, excessive thirst and/or nausea, sensations of apathy, diarrhea, vomiting, stomach irritation and general loss of appetite. That's a hell of alot to deal with in order to pacify a condition. As the overall money-making scheme of things with pharmaceuticals is not to CURE but to cause you to become a long-term addict I think we should be very careful in our recommendations especially when pharmaceutical distributors are the biggest get-rich-quick scheme next to auto insurance. For every emotional dilemma, they give it a label and create a drug. They further instruct doctors on how to diagnose and distribute for society to become it's guinea pig (of sorts). The deaths and recalls reported by the CDC are out of control.

Young male teens have the highest suicide rate due to changes in the brain, in late teen yrs they are unable to transition easily especially if they do not have guidance or strong male figures. I stamp @secret voice. Mental health issues have been swept under the rug in the african american community for a very long time now. They'll mask it by telling people that they don't have enough faith in God,instead of addressing the real issue. We act as if mental health issues don't exist in our community,because we don't want to look like we're either weak or crazy. @itain'tmyfault,apparently a lot of people care,including his family and friends. I don't even know him,but I'm saddened by the fact that depression has caused someone else to take their life. A lot of people think that they know what depression looks like,and it isn't always about what people see on the surface. You wouldn't even think that he had depression based on his personality,and everything that he did to put a smile on someone else's face with his comedy,and that just goes to show that some people have the ability to mask how they truly feel inside.

@DetroitKitten.....everything can not be solved with a hug; if it could, then a lot of people would be here today. Some people are just born with chemical imbalances and some people develop hormonal imbalances during their teen years and they don't know how to deal with it. I know that you probably read the side affects and wanted to comment, but most of those side effects are geared more towards the prescription drug which is synthetic and hard for the body to absorb. It is the same thing with synthetic hormones, which is why birth control can have some of those same side effects that you mentioned, but yet many women are encouraged to take those. There are side effects for every drug, herb, mineral, etc. known to man if you abuse it, so anyone who is reading this, please don't let this possibly turn you away from a otc remedy that can help you. I have been in the healthcare field years, so I know.

Yes the prescription form is harder on the body yet we are talking about a brain defect OR hormonal imbalance. How long and how much more lithium must one ingest in order for it to get to the brain? Probably alot more because the body absorbs it first. Which is why the ingestion of this medication takes time to reach it's intended target which is the brain. Further research goes on to say "Lithium is a mood stabilizing agent, and therefore, any changes in mood should be monitored. In extreme ***, drowsiness, muscular weakness, poor coordination, ringing in the ears. and/or blurred vision may occur. Patients with bipolar illness may also experience weight gain, mental sluggishness, problems with memory, or the development of skin conditions, such as psoriasis and acne. Blood poisoning is also a big concern with lithium, but is more likely in prescribed brands than in over-the-counter lithium orotate. Prescribed brands have higher amounts of the drug in each dose, and are usually not in the form of orotate, meaning that the absorption rate is low, and therefore higher levels of lithium are needed to offer the desired effect. In this sense, lithium orotate is much safer than offer forms of lithium because they are not as concentrated. Because of the possibility of blood toxicity, consult a health practitioner before taking lithium. Similarly, it is usually recommended that one should have their blood drawn regularly to monitor lithium levels in the blood stream. Plasma concentrations below .5-.6 mEg/l show little side effects. Concentrations from 1.0 onward usually lead to more intense side effects, and levels above 2.0 can even be fatal. (From reading this information there is no indication that ABUSE is the cause of the side effects, albeit in it's synthetic form it is MORE hazardous).
Yes, many women are encouraged to take birth control, however I won't. We often hear of its side effects (clotting, increased risk of cancer) and FOR ME I won't be swapping my health to risk taking a product that will have more dire effects on me than being a mother could ever have. Yet Black women are contracting breast cancer at an alarming rate with no TRUE explanation of the cause. It's the same thing with flu ***. While it's encouraged, it's never told that there are many strains of influenza and that the *** you're taking may not prevent you from getting it, but you're being injected with it???

You did all of that internet summarizing and yet you still supported what I had to say.......that the synthetic form offered by the doctor CAN be bad news because you have to take a higher dose, it does not absorb into the blood stream right, and the liver is not able to fully break it down, so you have to be closely monitored while on the prescription by the doctor i.e. blood tests and such, because it's so dangerous. Saying that it is reckless for me to say that is like telling a person to seek a doctor's advice before taking an aspirin.....you can seek their advice if you want, but some people don't. Googling some info does not mean that you know what you are talking about. I'm talking about synthetic vs things found in nature; healthcare is a business, which is why so many meds made by manufacturers are pushed on the general public. This is one of the main reasons that your healthcare plans don't want to pay for a naturopathic doctor, because like I said, it is a business. Health food stores and any other store in their class exist for a reason.....visit one sometime and see what they have to offer; it might surprise you.

I will say it again...I'm astounded at the level of ignorance many Blacks have at times. When people commit suicide there is not just one event that causes them to go over the edge.There is usually a succession of things that has occurred throughout their life that causes that person to have no hope or will to live.

Freddy also had a best friend who was murdered and he was depressed about that.There was also family issues so again it's time for people to stop being so self centered and stop acting as if all people can deal with this that and a third.

Blacks have been brainwashed to internalize pain due to the fact that Blacks have been treated as people with no worth due to racism that has been aimed at Blacks since slavery.There are many things that go down in the Black community that are swept under the rug such as rapes/molestation/domestic violence/depression and a myriad of other things.

@DrKG - first, I don't solely rely on Google. I have 3 people who work in the healthcare field in the family, and one family friend who is a doctor with practicing privileges at a large medical center in Michigan . I spoke with my aunt who has been an LPN for 30+ years. After listening to what she said about the synthetic form and the OTC form even she could not say that the OTC form is totally without side effects. So to further assess what exactly this drug does and get an even better understanding I checked with a few websites. The instructions to take the OTC form has to come from someone who has knowledge of its effects and the difference between it and its synthetic form, so if it's paralleled with asking a doctor before taking aspirin then so be it. Even aspirin is not good for everyone to take as there can be allergic reactions, stomach bleeding and I'm almost certain they're not recommended for people with asthma. If you can say for certain that the OTC form has NO SIDE EFFECTS when what I've listened to and what I've read can only state that there aren't AS MANY side effects or its only LESS LIKELY (not totally without) then I digress.
To say that healthcare is a business is the biggest problem with healthcare, it's more about business than it is about CURE. Any physician will tell you that "medicine isn't an exact science" which is why they're labeled PRACTICING physicians. No medication is created to CURE, only create a long-term dependency and therefore keep pharmaceutical companies in business.. Which is why if "this" doesn't work then try "that".
I never said that it was without side effects, but the side effects that you mentioned are mainly experienced with the prescription brand. And most doctors (primary care physicians) are told by the pharmaceutical industry which pills they can prescribe and then they have to try to parallel that with which pills will be paid for by health insurance. There is just too much to say, because this is what I do, but "doctors" are not the only people with this expertise; knowing what herb, supplement, etc. can be taken and how much. A license is just that, a piece of paper that is earned and tells you that a person has at least the minimum amount of knowledge that is required by the law to practice, but so many people in the healthcare field have different types of licenses and therefore, this expertise. There is a doctorate of pharmacy, doctorate of medicine, and there is even a doctorate of nursing. All of these people are educated and can give practical advice about this topic. Anything that you put in your body should be researched against other things that you are taking so as not to cause an adverse reaction.........and you can sometimes due this yourself. People have to get proactive with there own health which does not mean always running to the doctor, but if you have to go to a doctor, why not an ND, DO,etc.? This is the problem with healthcare in this country........it's more critical care instead of preventative care. People are supposed to take care of themselves and keep themselves as healthy as they can and use doctors as a last resort, but they haven't and now we are gonna have to deal with worse problems then the current cost *** in healthcare. At this point I really don't know what you are "up at arms" about, because I never said that there were no side effects and I never said anything about all people, just some. I think that you read deeper into what I said and picked out what you wanted to try to dispute, but you really just reaffirmed what I was saying. But to each their own, and what you said still should not discourage others from being proactive with their own health. The new Obamacare of nationalized insurance is not completely modeled on other countries who have nationalized healthcare, so some people are gonna get screwed. What's going to happen is that the sickest of the sick (who are poor ) are gonna get a break, the poorest of the poor are gonna get a break; meanwhile the rich and the middle income households are gonna have their wealth redistributed through taxes to pay for it, but one can argue that the rich can afford to take the hit while the middle income families can not. So, once again, all I am trying to say is that one must look out for ones self, at least to a certain degree.
Well I'm not "up at arms" but it appears as though I've struck a nerve with you. I didn't pick/choose what particulars of your comment I wanted to shed light on (not dispute). You have in so many words agreed with what I've stated, which is to advise to use an OTC brand (which is only OTC because it's classified as a "supplement") without prior physician instruction on the possible side effects is borderline reckless.
Much like you've said...which was all I am saying too - anything put in the body requires some research. Yet you didn't provide research when you offered the drug as an alternative. However, you would suggest that I be proactive in my own healthcare and do my own research...which you basically blasted me for doing implying that my own research doesn't mean I "know what I'm talking about" which is really double-talk.
So even while a license is required as a means to practice, an MD graduate with a C average and an MD graduate with honors are all called the same thing...."doctor".

That's just silly. When did I say that anything was "reckless" and when was that proven? And I don't have to provide you with any research, this is not school and you're not my client. You must think that this is WebMd, due your own research......and not just that stuff that you have googled and summarized, because there is some false info out there. And you have not shed light on anything because you are obviously not in the field of healthcare and so you are guessing and trying to make me prove something which you have already set your mind against. There is nothing wrong with you being "proactive" with your health and making a decision that you or your children would not use the supplement, but you can not tell a person who has the knowledge that they are being reckless in providing information about an alternative way of dealing with mental illness. Well actually you can, because it is your opinion, but going back and forth about an opinion is not gonna stop me from giving my professional advice and it will obviously not amount to a hill of beans regarding what you do in your household, so just agree to disagree. And FYI I can not give you a recommended dosage over the internet; that doesn't even make sense, with different products and concentrations in the bottle and such.
DrKG...you didn't say it was reckless sir, I did when in your first comment where you recommended the OTC brand of lithium orotate, you did not say anything about the side effects. And because it is an OTC form you didn't mention that a person should consult with their physician. That is what I considered to be reckless. The drug was your recommended alternative to the synthetic form. No one on here is your client...yet you made a recommendation of the drug (not the dosage). I never requested you provide research. The shedding of light I was alluding to was that you could not state as a certainty that the OTC drug YOU recommended did not come with side effects...that is all.
When I did my own research your statement was that just because I "google" information it doesn't mean that I "know what I'm talking about". As I stated, I contacted a medical professional who gave me some info on the drug. No, I'm NO LONGER in the field of healthcare albeit my exposure to it was as a medical education assistant at a hospital which actually used to be one of the best medical education courses for osteopathic and oral maxillofacial surgery. I also worked for a medical insurer in the marketing department. So no sir, I'm not guessing, especially since having a family member being misdiagnosed regarding memory loss symptoms and was prescribed depakote when in fact it was a malignant brain tumor. Spinning your wheels on a pointless issue because you can do what you want with your health. They say that good black don't crack, but I guess that doesn't apply to blacks dying earlier than most other races or ending up in a long term care facility taking thirty synthetic pills a day.
