@Kill The Budda....I'm not feeling attacked, we're just talking about a scenario of what can be, could be and what is/isn't. I wasn't asking the question of would you do it for any other reason than to establish a reasonableness of thinking.
Where you say the strong negative reaction I (may) display is based on very limited facts, there are some things I don't know, but there are also some things that we both know, first we know that this was a bad decision; 2nd we know that the child has no top on and neither does the man; 3rd we know that you wouldn't do it.
To believe that pedophiles do not advertise is somewhat naive. Internet stings catch them up everyday, from white collar males obsessed with teenaged boys to teachers sleeping with teenaged students to blue collar workers snapping pics of people using public restrooms. They not only advertise but they also use signals, like the senator that responded to the foot tap on the floor in a rest stop bathroom.
His actions IMO give the appearance of evil because he is a bishop and people like him, Eddie Long, Joyce Beyers, Creflo Dollar, etc are what is wrong with Christianity and why people can so easily question biblical principle. I'll even back off of what his intentions were, but as my mom used to say...the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Even understanding culture having to do with perspective, that doesn't excuse it either. It just alludes to another culture of confused people out there who thinks this is just ok.
So evaluating myself on what I know, and what I don't know this scenario has left the door open to too many questions when there should be no guessing about what is seen here. I don't disagree with what you are saying yet there is just no intent that can justify the act. He most likely had as much time to change his mind, as he had time to think this scene was just ok.
